[5/15/19] The McLaren GT is finally here and well it looks exactly as expected! Like we said before, the new GT is sitting outside the current McLaren lineup in its own little bubble and uses Aston’s ancient method of being a brute in a suit, a comfortable super quick GT car! Of course it gets the usual McLaren carbon monocoque called the Monocell II-T (T for touring) to keep weight lowish around 3,232lbs! The T parts makes for a massive new storage area for a total of 20.3cu ft! McLaren also made the GT comfortable (yeah in a McLaren) with less stiff engine mounts, sound detaining, Optimal Control Theory software for the suspension to predict bumps, and even hydraulic steering!🔥 @Allcarnews Spec Sheet: Powering the GT may surprise your, it has the 4.0L Tt C8 making only 612HP and 465 lb-ft of torque going to the rear through a 7 speed DCT! It can do 0-60 in 3.1sec, 124MPH in 9.1sec and has a 203MPH TopSpeed. 🔥
What’s even weirder is that McLaren released MPG figures which are SUPER IMPRRSSIVE! It gets an EPA rated 15/21/17 mpg city/highway/combined and can travel 399miles on a tank…. yeah this is not supercar, it’s a GT! Another big piece is the super luxurious interior which has incredible visibility with glass all around you! The seats can be had in leather, alcantara and…. Cashmere..? Interesting! Now for the exterior design; it’s sleek af! It took design from the Speedtail (and old Ferrari’s maybe the C8 too) and is a nuts 15ft long to really establish it as a luxury beast! Prices start at a low $210,000!
